About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and seasoned Sr. Art Director (with some solid UX design chops) to join our ambitious and talented creative team. From ideation to final execution, you will conceptualize and produce high-quality design executions, craft intelligent and responsive UX and UI for websites, as well as digital marketing materials.
In this role you will work closely with other designers, developers, writers, videographers, data analysts, project managers, and account managers, all focused on delivering exceptional experiences for our clients.
The ideal candidate is a conceptually driven, strategic thinker with a passion for design and a deep understanding of branding and marketing principles.
What you’ll do:
Creative Execution & Design
- Own the creative execution for a variety of clients and industries across multiple formats, including video, print, OOH, digital banners, email campaigns, website layouts, and more
- Translate brand guidelines and creative briefs into bold, conceptually arresting ideas and visually appealing designs that communicate key messages and evoke desired emotions
- Adapt designs to suit different mediums, channels, and target demographics, ensuring consistency and coherence across all brand touch points
- Incorporate a range of AI tools to assist you in the ideation and development of creative projects
Campaign & Content Development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated marketing campaigns that align with client objectives and messaging strategies
- Lead and oversee mood boards, storyboards, and other documents required to plan for content creation (graphic, photographic, video, etc.)
- Translate complex ideas and technical information into engaging, easy-to-understand layouts that captivate and persuade audiences
Strategic & Data-Driven Creativity
- Challenge briefs and seek the best solutions to achieve the desired outcome for both the end user/audience and clients
- Seek to understand the customer—their motivations, preferences, and journey that leads to brand adoption, loyalty, and business results
- Leverage consumer data and understand when and how to apply it to a given client challenge
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in design, branding, and marketing, and apply insights to enhance our creative output and campaign effectiveness
Project & Client Management
- Take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Collaborate with account managers and clients to understand project objectives, address feedback, and deliver high-quality, on-brand content that meets and exceeds expectations
- Understand our clients’ opportunities (and risks) and address them in a manner that leads to positive outcomes
Leadership & Mentorship
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to junior and intermediate team members, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement
What you’ll bring to the role:
- A degree in graphic design, art direction, advertising, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in a marketing agency environment or similar
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and other relevant design software
- Experience using AI to enhance your work and productivity
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative projects across different mediums
- A sharp eye for craft, with the ability to push the boundaries of design while maintaining clarity and brand integrity
- Excellent understanding of typography, colour theory, layout, and composition principles
- Ability to think creatively and strategically, with a strong attention to detail and a passion for innovation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; can write a strong rationale and present it eloquently to clients
- A confident presenter who can articulate creative decisions with clarity and conviction
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines
